50th Anniversary of Parc Eglos School - September 2015

Commemorative mugs and books are still available. Please contact the school office if you would like to make a purchase.

September 2015 saw the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Parc Eglos School.

Celebrations were held at our Summer Fayre, 17th July 2015, and continued into the evening.

Thank you to the Helston Town Mayor and to the HMS Seahawk Volunteer Band for joining us at our Fayre.

The evening began with an address by Geoff Helmore, the first Head teacher of Parc Eglos, and Brett Dye, the current Head. We were also joined by the late John Vipond, who was our Head teacher for 28 years until he retired in 2008.

There is a 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book full of interesting anecdotes and photographs from years gone by, as well as a 50th Anniversary Mug (see below). If you are interested in purchasing either of these, please ask at the school office.
