Boomerang Clubs

Clubs that have previously run include those listed below. For more information please contact the Boomerang organiser.

  • Bubblemaker
SCUBA diving sessions for our children who are aged 8 & over. These sessions are run by a fully qualified PADI diving instructor from Kennack Diving and are held in our onsite swimming pool.

During the course the children will gain knowledge of how to use scuba equipment and will have an introduction to breathing underwater. The children will be awarded a Bubblemaker certificate on completion of the course.

  • Cookery
Takes place in our cookery chalet and runs in 6 week blocks.

  • Cornish
A club for children to learn Cornish language basics, about Cornish heritage, our countryside and superstitions!

We tell them old Cornish folk tales and legends such as the mermaid of Zennor.

We use Cornish ideas to paint and draw. We show children old pottery and provide the children with an opportunity to make and decorate pottery themselves.

Visitors come in, for example Pasty Line taught the children about the famous Cornish pasty. The children learnt about the ingredients, why the pasty was invented and how to crimp.

Cornish club is a fun and exciting way to learn about Cornwall and where we live!

  • Create
Separate sessions held for KS1 and KS2.

  • Drama
Drama club is a wonderful club that teaches children of all ages huge skills in both acting and confidence. Drama club runs for 10 week sessions where the children play games and learn skills in miming, stage presence, voice control, improvisation. We aim for there to be a performance at the end of the 10 weeks. Our previous performances, ‘Let’s go to the movies', 'The Water Dragon' and 'Oz the Great the Musical' have all been great successes.

  • Street Dance

  • Sk8

  • Supa Soccer
